The Ossining Documentary & Discussion Series Screening of Jon Bowermsater’s new Documentary: ‘Windshipped.’ Sunday, 9/25 @ Sing Sing Kill Brewery.
We’re excited to be back for this very special event after a longggg hiatus!
Jon Bowermaster’s latest Hudson River story,”Windshipped,” documents how the Schooner Apollonia has brought old-fashioned fossil-free sail freight back to the Hudson River.
Built in 1946 and revived for re-launch in 2020, the Apollonia and its new crew travel from Hudson to Kingston, Beacon, Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Piermont and Ossining, its hold stuffed with Upstate goods headed south – and products made in The City returning back north.
Follow the Apollonia as it picks up and delivers goods to Hudson River ports and directly to its customers — a carbon-free story using wind, sun and pedal-power!
Before and after the film you’ll have the opportunity to hear from Sam Merrett and the rest of the Schooner Apollonia crew (including Brad Vogel, James Ferrell, Matt Soltesz, and Tanya Van Renesse), Jon Bowermaster, Jeanette and Dennis Nesel of Hudson Valley Malt, as well as Matt Curtin and Eric Gearity of Sing Sing Kill Brewery.
Join us for this special event! Doors open at 5:30p and the program/screening begins at 6:30p. A Q&A will follow.
