We are  excited to announce GREEN DRINKS OSSINING–a NEW program launched to create a valuable networking opportunity for anyone interested in environmental sustainability issues and solutions.

We are partnering with our friends at Sing Sing Kill Brewery, and invite all to join us monthly for GREEN DRINKS OSSINING.

While the name can be misleading (there will be no green-colored drinks intentionally served as a tip-of-the-hat to St Paddy), the GREEN DRINKS moniker refers to our association with GREEN DRINKS INTERNATIONAL. Ossining is now one of 371 cities worldwide with one agenda: to offer an informal meet-up opportunity monthly for folks who work/play in the environmental field.

In the organization’s words: “We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. Come along and you’ll be made welcome. Just say, “are you green?” and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making GREEN DRINKS an organic, self-organizing network. These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity. It’s a force for the good .”

Sing Sing Kill Brewery established this program to further their commitment to sustainability by welcoming like-minded innovators to showcase their achievements and inspire more. Green Ossining is thrilled with this latest opportunity to partner with SSKB on environmental programming that connects green thought-leaders and doers. These monthly meet-ups will be held at Sing Sing Kill Brewery (75 Spring Street) the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm. The format will often be a short 20-30 min guest speaker, and then plenty of time there after to meet/network. Refreshments for purchase will also include non-alcoholic beverage options.

Join us on Summer Solstice: Wednesday, June 21st @7:30pm for our nextGreen Drinks Ossining. This event is made extra special with a musical performance at 6:30pm by local singer-songwriter Sophia McGlew as part of Make Music Ossining Briarcliff –the local version of International Make Music Day.  Every year Mike Risko Music organizes live music at venues throughout our community as part of a worldwide celebration of music on the solstice.

Following at 7:30p, we are thrilled to have this opportunity to announce and applaud winners of the 2023/2024 GREEN OSSINING SUSTAINABILITY PARTNERSHIP. This Green Ossining program was created to recognize local businesses that have demonstrated environmental stewardship through their business practices, and have agreed to be resources to others who may want to learn from them. We expect most to be in attendance, so come and mingle with them.
